Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why should I consider Ayurveda?
A: Ayurveda is a complementary holistic system of healing that takes the full person (body, mind and spirit) into account. It is not "one size fits all" and tailors the remedy to the individual and their needs.
Ayurveda is helpful not only for those experiencing illness, but also for maintaining balance and health every day.
Q: Why do I need Ayurveda?
A: Ayurveda is helpful for all people, regardless of health status, but clients typically seek help in dealing with:
- Digestive issues
- Chronic conditions
- Insomnia
- Depression, Anxiety, and Fatigue
- Seasonal complaints
- Psychosomatic illnesses
- Alleviating side effects from medications or surgeries
Q: For my first appointment, what should I bring with me?
A: Ideally, you should come with your completed intake forms (provided when you schedule an appointment) and a list of any questions or concerns you may have.

Q: What can I expect to take home with me from an appointment?
A: I will provide you with a list of recommended diet and lifestyles changes, including a food list, herbs, exercises and other daily routines to follow. We will work together to determine how best to incorporate these changes into your life.
As your health improves, during follow-up visits we will discuss seasonal routines, including how to determine your own state of balance and selecting the appropriate remedies.
Q: What can I expect from the process?
A: After your initial appointment, you can begin incorporating the diet and lifestyle changes and any other remedies we discuss. I recommend undertaking these changes slowly, as abrupt changes can cause additional issues and are harder to maintain. We will work one-on-one to create a plan that will best suit your needs.
During follow-up visits, we will build on the initial foundation and move towards enhancing stability and long-term health.
Q: What can I expect during an appointment?
A: We will review your past history and any current issues, paying particular attention to your daily routines, such as diet and sleep habits, and any ongoing stressors that may be affecting your health.
Using this info, along with an Ayurvedic pulse and tongue examination, l will then determine any imbalances and discuss how to restore balance and maintain ongoing wellbeing.
